***A look into book two – Dark Fantasies: Ashley and Kelan’s story.***

Dear Diary,

I haven’t written to you in a long while. I’ve been so busy with, well, life. But now I have something juicy to share and I’m not allowed to tell anyone else. Of course Alyssa knows, but she’s going through a few changes right now so my new protector won’t let me see her. My protector is who I’m writing to you about today.

You see, I’ve been kidnapped. No, don’t panic, it’s not anything to get upset about. At first I thought it was. When he first took me I was pissed. But I’m slowly learning that this beast who calls himself my mate is simply a big softy, who wouldn’t harm me no matter how many times I tell him to f**k off, and I do tell him that a lot.

Anyway, we’re kind of hiding from these angel assassins right now so I figure, why not take advantage of this situation and use it to do some research for my erotic romance column. I already have the title for the column picked out: ‘How To Seduce A Vampire.’ My readers are going to love it.

Of course, my protector isn’t talking to me right now, the big baby is mad at me for breaking his brand new television. In my defense, I did tell him I was going to tear sh*t up if he didn’t release me. He actually tied me up, can you believe that?
Oh, well, I guess in order to get what I want I’ll just have to walk around the house naked.

I’m sure he’ll pounce. He’s a predator and I’m going to pretend to be the prey. Once we get rid of all these pesky assassins, I am going back to my regular life. Mr. Big Bad Vampicus – that’s what I call a mix between a vampire and an incubus by the way. Anyway, Mr. Big Bad Vampicus is just going to have to find himself another mate. An independent girl like me and a domineering beast like him would never work out.

Xoxo Ashley

Best Friends Are Forever! #NerdGirls #TheMakeover

~Check out this excerpt from The Makeover. #BestFriendsForever~

Nicole came back into the bathroom.
“He’s waiting in the living room,” she whispered. “I had no idea he was that handsome. Like a blond Adonis. I should write about him, no wait, we don’t like him anymore. I could make him a villain or something.”

April smiled. Yes, he was handsome. She didn’t have to see him to know he was the epitome of perfection. April took a deep breath… she could do this.

“Look at me one more time, April,” Robyn told her. April turned to stare at her friend.

“What is your mission tonight?”

“My mission is to prove to Dr. Stewart and his uppity friends that I am no plain Jane.”

“How will you accomplish this mission?” Robyn asked.

“By summoning my inner Princess Leia and proving to my…” She didn’t finish her sentence because Nicole distracted her by raising her hand. “What is it, Nicole?”

“You forgot to say your inner diva.”

“Oh, that’s right. I plan to accomplish my mission by summoning my inner Princess Leia and my inner diva. Then I plan to prove to my boss and his high society friends that nerd girls have feelings too and that we are beautiful on the inside and the outside. I’m forgetting something…oh. I plan to make him suffer for having the audacity to think I wouldn’t find out about his little plan. Is there anything else?”

“Nope,” Nicole and Robyn both said.

Nicole gave her a quick hug. “Now go out there and make us proud. Wait, there is one more thing. You’re not mad at me for saying you dress like a peasant, are you?”

“A little bit,” April answered honestly.

“I apologize.”

“No need to apologize. You’re right. I don’t dress to impress. I dress to un-impress. I know that’s not a word, so don’t say anything. It’s just that I don’t like a lot of attention, good or bad. I dress to keep myself out of the way. It stems from years of getting picked on. I learned the more invisible I was, the less likely people would be mean to me. It’s something I’m working on and soon I will be just as confident in myself as you two ladies are. But it’s going to take some time.”

April grabbed Nicole’s hand. “Don’t ever feel bad for telling me the truth. That’s what friends are for.”

“That’s right, Nicole.” Robyn smiled. “Remember the time April told you that the braids you wore made you look like Jimmy Hendrix. For two weeks she called you Medusa. Oh, and remember your favorite orange tie-dye shirt, April said it looked like vomit. Oh and remember…”

“I get it,” Nicole rolled her eyes. “We are always brutally honest with each other. I get it. Back to the mission at hand, have fun April and make those haters eat their words.”

Her roommates raised their hands to salute her. She raised her hand and saluted them back. Her mission to prove her boss wrong had officially begun. He was expecting a plain Jane to emerge from the bathroom. That was not happening.

He was going to be surprised when he realized that underneath her shabby second hand clothing laid a young woman who refused to be stepped on or ill treated. Dr. Stewart was about to find out that consequences could be dire when you messed with a nerd girl and her best friends.

Excerpt: The Makeover #NerdGirlsLoveHard #NerdsBeLike #RomanticComedy Tour

Excerpt: Conversation between Chad and his sister, Christy.

When Chad pulled up at the clinic thirty minutes late he knew his sister was going to be pissed. Without his phone, he didn’t have an alarmed clock. He was starting to realize how much he depended on the blasted phone. If he didn’t find it today he was going to have to buy a new one.

Christy’s car was in the parking lot, but she wasn’t in it. She’d used her key to open up. When he entered the building he expected to smell fresh brewed coffee and maybe doughnuts. That was not the greeting he received.

“Good morning.” He said to his sister as he shut the back door behind him and locked it.

She was seated at the break-room table with her arms crossed and a sour expression on her face.

“Um,” Chad stared from her to the coffee pot. “Do you want to make some coffee?”

“Do I look like I want to make some coffee?”

Whoa. He didn’t know how to answer that. It had been a while since he’d last worked with Christy. He was no longer accustomed to her random mood swings and outbursts. He didn’t have this problem with April.

“Did your husband do something to piss you off? If so, don’t take it out on me.”

‘No, Chad, my husband didn’t do anything to piss me off. My husband is a great man, unlike you.”

“Hey, what did I do to you?”

Christy continued as if he hadn’t asked her a question. “My husband is a faithful man, he’s one of the good guys. He wouldn’t take his psycho ex-girlfriend out on a date while I was out of town.”
Damn it. Something was definitely wrong here.

“My husband loves me and knows that I would open up a large can of whoop ass if I thought for a second that he was cheating on me. See Chad, the difference between my husband and you, is that my husband appreciates me. I’m not shallow, I don’t dress like a low class hooker, and he likes that. But you, you want a woman who’s been with so many men her vagina has a waiting room in it.”

“Listen, Christy.”

“No you listen. When I pulled up today, on time, there was an envelope taped to the back door. Yes, I opened it.” Christy leaned to the side, picked up a large brown envelope, and slid it across the table. Chad caught it before it hit the floor.

“You should probably sit down for this,” she told him.
Oh hell.

Chad sat his briefcase on the floor then sat down and emptied the contents of the envelope onto the table
“My cell phone, why the hell is my cell phone in this envelope? Who put this on my door?”

“The envelope wasn’t marked. But read the note.”
Chad picked up the note and unfolded the pink paper.

~Dear Chad,
I hope you had a great night with your little girlfriend. ~

Chad closed the letter and laid his forehead against the table. He groaned.

“Keep reading, I doubt you’ve gotten to the good part that quickly.”

“Just tell me, did she call April?”
Please tell me she didn’t call April.

“Your Ms. Haney…”

“She’s not my Ms. Haney.”

“According to the video she sent April from your phone she is definitely your Ms. Haney.”

“Damn it,” Chad raised his head and finished reading the letter.

~I thought when you found out about all the problems my family and I were having you would do the right thing and take me back. You didn’t. I get it, I hurt you and now you’re making me suffer for it. But here’s the thing. I don’t like suffering alone. It’s your turn to suffer. Once we’re even we can start over. Love you much, tell April I said hi.
Sandra. ~

“She’s crazy,” Chad tossed the letter onto the table.

“Yes she is. You already knew that. But she comes in here, sheds a few tears and suddenly you’re ‘Captain save a hoe’.”

Who the hell was ‘Captain save a hoe’?

“I was just trying to help her out. To get her mind off her problems.”

“Yeah, and it backfired. You can’t help out people like Sandra. You can help homeless people. You can help people who are down on their luck or people who need a shoulder to cry on. But you can’t help gold diggers. You need to watch the video she sent April.”

“What video?”

“Look in your sent text messages and before you ask, yes I went through your text messages.”

Chad opened the message and played the video. An image of his bedroom popped up on the screen. What the hell?

GENRE – New Adult – Romantic Comedy – Chick-Lit
PUBLICATION DATE – November, 03, 2014

~Bailey Cooper has fallen in love – sadly the man she’s in love with already has a man. Or so she thinks. Sounds complicated doesn’t it? ~

Bailey Cooper is very much attracted to her neighbor Max Davis. Unfortunately for Bailey, Greg – Max’s lover is slowly becoming one of Bailey’s best friends. Bailey’s emotions are torn. She adores Greg’s friendship while at the same time she craves Max’s touch.

What is a girl to do when she ‘thinks’ the man she’s in love with is in love with someone else?

Max Davis and his baby brother Greg Davis are co-owners of the apartment building they live in. Max has fallen for his tenant, Bailey, but she avoids and ignores all of his advances. It doesn’t take long for him to become suspicious of the friendship blooming between Greg and Bailey. He believes Bailey has a crush on his brother but Max wants his shy little neighbor all to himself. Now he has to think of ways to keep Bailey and Greg apart, which is ridiculous because Greg isn’t even in to women. Time to break that news to his neighbor and hope it causes her attention to swing his way.

Will a holiday weekend full of chaos, confusion and a little bit of charm finally get Bailey and Max on the right track? Or will a few innocent caresses lead to more Christmas confusion?

Max scooted back on the couch, he reached toward Bailey, eyes straying to her legs. Even though she wore jeans, he still pictured her legs bare, like they were when she jumped on his counter.
Her eyes widened as his hand came closer and closer. Max leaned forward, stretching his arm even closer to her body, he ached to touch her. His fingertips itched for a chance to slide down her body. As he moved closer, he heard her inhale deeply and he couldn’t escape the erotic images that flowed through his mind. Oh, the sounds I could cause her to make, if she would give me the chance.
Max continued edging forward, until his fingers wrapped around what he was reaching for. He picked the remote control up and moved back to his side of the couch. His hand shook slightly. Bailey exhaled. The sound sent chills over his body. Max pointed the remote at the television and pressed play.
He cleared his throat. “Do you want to start from the beginning or do you want me to find the last scene you watched?”
Max waited on her to answer but all he heard was the sound of her breathing. He kept his eyes straight forward, fearing the sight of her chest rising and falling would be his downfall. She took so long to answer that he forgot what his question was.
“Whatever you want,” she whispered, and his gut clenched. Max pressed pause.
What was his question? For the life of him, he couldn’t remember what he’d asked her. But her answer ‘whatever you want’ was the answer he craved. A thousand questions raced through his head, ‘Bailey, what do you want me to do to you with my tongue?’ Her answer of ‘whatever you want’ would be perfect for that question. ‘Bailey, what do you want me to do to you with my hands?’ Whatever you want would be the perfect answer to that question. But none of those were the question she was answering. What had he asked her?
“Or we could just watch television,” she said. “We don’t have to watch the movie, I know it’s a chick flick and you may not like it.”
Oh yeah, the movie. “No, no, we can watch the movie.” Get it together, Max.
“Okay,” Bailey smiled and snuggled further into the comforter. His comforter, the one he would sleep under later on tonight. The comforter that would have her sweet scent on it until he decided to wash it, if he decided to wash it. Get it together, now, Max.
Max cleared his throat again. He felt like his t-shirt was getting tighter, choking him. Max found it hard to swallow. “We can just watch it from the beginning. How long is this movie anyway?” he asked her.
“It’s a short movie, about an hour long.”
He would have an hour in her company, an hour with her sitting within arms-reach of him, an hour of sweet torture. He would enjoy every minute of it.

Revenge is a dish best served cold… while wearing heels.

April has just learned the real reason behind her boss’ impromptu dinner invitation. He only invited her to dinner with his colleagues to prove a point: that he can show up at an event with a plain Jane and still be considered ‘the man’. She expected better from him and had secretly hoped that one day their friendship would grow into something deeper. Now she knows she will always just be his ‘nerdy secretary’ to him.

But her two best friends won’t let her wallow in her pain. They convince her to give Dr. Stewart a dose of his own medicine. The plan: show up at the dinner looking irresistible and prove to her boss that even nerd girls can be sexy. But first she has to replace her unattractive business suits with something sexier and more revealing. It’s time for a makeover.

Dr. Chad Stewart would never ‘really’ date his secretary. She was too good, to pure for someone as jaded as himself. It didn’t matter that he was half in love with her. But when he needed an ‘average date’ for a dinner party she was the first person he turned to. He thought his secretary was the perfect choice until he arrived to find her looking like his wildest fantasy. But now she knows the real reason for his invite and he can see in her eyes how hurt she is.

Can Chad convince her to forgive him for hurting her or will she walk out of his life… taking his heart with her?
