Spotlight: Blood Lust by DJ Shaw

book-spotlight

Happy Monday. Today, I’m shining the spotlight on DJ Shaw’s novella, Blood Lust. Enjoy!

blood-lust-600x900-cover

Catriogwyn Stacey has been around for two hundred thirteen years and has seen a lot in that time. When her Great-Great-Niece, the last of her living family, dies she discovers there’s more than she thought. Will her family secrets consume her?

excerpt

When she came to, the moonlight was still shining down on her but it seemed brighter, harsher. She looked around, only to discover that she was completely alone.
She was beginning to think that she’d had some sort of lucid fantasy, until she noticed drops of blood on her skirts as she was wiping bits of debris off of them. Her hand slowed and she gathered her skirts up, preparing to run home. But a voice stopped her.
“Ah. So you have come to. For a moment there, I was afraid the change had not taken and I had simply drained you dry.”
She turned toward the voice and saw the shadow of the man who’d attacked her.
“Change? What change?” she asked him, her voice squeaking.
He simply chuckled and stepped out into the clearing. He looked her over, taking in her disheveled hair, soiled dress, and frightened eyes.
Clicking his tongue, he answered, “Why the change into Vampire. I was afraid it would not take because of the demon blood coursing through your veins. Being Succubus, your life span is much longer than that of a mere human and some Demon’s blood does not mix well with Vampire’s. But as I was draining you, I decided to give it a shot. A Succubus is a lot like a Vampire in some regards. What I want to know is how is it that you did not know you are half Succubus?”
She regarded him with some curiosity. Everything seemed to be in much better focus. She took in her surroundings again, thinking about his question. The leaves on the trees had more contrast. She could almost count the veins in them.
When she’d finished looking at everything around her, she found that she had no choice but to return her gaze to his.
“Our father disappeared when my older sister became an adolescent. Not much has been spoken about him since. Our mother died a few years after of what everyone assumed to be heartbreak. Freya, my older sister, has tried talking to me about a condition having to do with her husband after sex but I never gave her the time to finish her thoughts.”
She stopped talking abruptly. The man had been listening intently and he let out a soft sigh.
“I see,” was all he said.
She turned to the edge of the woods she’d entered the clearing through.
“Oh my god! Freya! I have to go home and tell her!”
He came close and wrapped his hand around her wrist, saying, “I am afraid you cannot go back home. You must come with me.”
She stared at him as if horns had suddenly sprouted out of his head.
“What do you mean, I cannot go home? I must! Freya and Aidan will be worried.”
He shook his head sadly, “I am sorry but you cannot. The smell of the blood coursing through their veins, especially your sister’s, will make it difficult for you to keep your hunger under control. Come, we must go.”
Catriogwyn wasn’t sure how to feel. She couldn’t stand the thought of never seeing her family again, but she’d wither away, immortal or not, if she ever hurt them. She had an internal struggle, trying to make the right decision.
“My, where are my manners? My name is Lukas Spilka and I know Miroslav, your father. In fact, he and I are good friends.”
She turned to him and raised an eyebrow, “Introductions are a bit late, do you not agree? But I am intrigued about my father. My name is Catriogwyn Stacey. You mentioned that we needed to go? Lead the way.”
She remembered him saying, “So Stacey is the last name he has fabricated for this day and age” as she took his outstretched hand and following him into the woods. He led her to a small cave that she never would have found on her own. They made small talk on their walk to that cave and it was only when they entered the mouth that she stopped him.
“You live in a cave?”
He sighed and tugged on her hand as he replied, “Yes and if you would only follow me, I will tell you why.”
She recalled his explanation and a small smile played upon her lips. She shook off the clinging remnants of the memory concerning the night she’d been turned and focused on the letter from the attorney’s office. She needed to pack and book a flight to Wilshire, Maine for the reading of her Great-Aunt Prudence’s will.

Mechanical men may not have real hearts, but they also can’t break yours. The only thing you have to worry about them breaking is your headboard. But who needs a headboard anyway?
-Hudson Innovations – Making your life better, one machine at a time.

She’s not looking for love. She’s looking for lust.
The headboard breaking kind of lust.

Gemini Prescott has been burned by love too many times. There’s no way she’s going back down that road again. When she learns of mechanical men, she believes she’s found the perfect antidote to her problems. Mechanical men can’t break your heart. Mechanical men can’t cheat on you with your best friend. A mechanical man is exactly what she needs.

But something seems to be wrong with her personal robot. He doesn’t follow orders like he’s supposed to. Instead, he has demands of his own. Demands that leave her begging for more. She would return him to the manufacturer, but there’s this thing he does with his tongue that makes him a keeper.

He’s not looking for love or lust.
He’s looking for a way off this planet.

Zain only has one goal: to return to his home-world. Though most of his brethren are enjoying their new life on Earth, Zain has no desire to follow their lead. He doesn’t want to be a pleasure-robot, a slave to whoever purchases him. He plans to leave Earth behind and he’ll destroy anyone who stands in his way.

Then he meets Gemini.
And everything changes.

She was stunning.

Her face was oval shaped. Her eyes were brown and shaped like a cat’s. He didn’t like cats. Aoki had one. Whenever she called him to her office, the damn thing was seated on the windowsill.

It stared at him like it owned the room and he was invading its space. Yeah, cats weren’t his favorite thing. But Gemini’s cat eyes were his new favorite thing. Her hair was straight and pulled back away from her face.

Her skin appeared soft. She looked… he didn’t know the words to describe how she looked. It was like watching the sun rise or set for the first time. Or looking up at the stars at night, watching them twinkle.

What had Chance called those things? Beautiful, that was what he called them. That was what Gemini was. She was beautiful, like the sunrise. An awkward silence filled the room. He knew he should say something.

He didn’t know what to say. He tried recalling the advice Chance had given him. What had his leader suggested he do when he first met his mistress? Compliment her, that was it. Zain cleared his throat, but the act didn’t stop his voice from coming out harsher than he intended.

“Your face is shaped well,” he growled.

“Huh?”

Her frown caused a crease to form in the space between her eyes. Even that was beautiful. He was messing this up. What the hell was wrong with him? He wasn’t Chance. He wasn’t good at giving compliments. Zain cleared his throat again.

“I meant to say, your hand is well.”

“That’s not what you said.”

Zain nodded. He knew that wasn’t what he said. He didn’t want to talk right now. His voice wasn’t working properly. Or did he always sound so harsh? He’d never noticed before, probably because he tried his best to avoid talking. Now was no different.
He didn’t want to have a conversation. He just wanted to stare at her.

“Can I have my hand back?”

She tugged her hand. He didn’t release it. He liked her voice, when she wasn’t screeching. Listening to her talk wasn’t making his head hurt. He had a feeling he could listen to her talk for hours.

He felt her hand move again. He tightened his grip, not enough to hurt her. He simply wasn’t ready to release her. He told himself he was holding her hand because he didn’t want her to hit him again. But he knew it was because he liked the way her skin felt against his.

“My hand please.”

Zain shook his head. His eyes traveled from her face to her throat. She had a nice neck. He’d wondered why males in the videos he watched liked licking and kissing their woman’s neck.

Looking at hers, he could see why. His eyes traveled lower, past her clavicle, down to her breasts. Zain swallowed and licked his lips. His appendage grew and lengthened. He was thankful he was wearing pants.

He’d be embarrassed for her to see what she was doing to him. Being near her was making him want to do the things he’d watched the humans in those videos do. Things he’d swore he’d never do.

Valentine’s Day Hop And The Perfect Date Night with Gemini and Zain from Kiss Me, Keep Me #NewRelease #SFR

valentine_bloghop2017_button

Valentine’s Day is almost here and it’s time for a Valentine’s Day Blog Hop and Giveaway. Not only will there be a main giveaway of an Amazon Echo, there will also be giveaways at each stop along the hop. More chances for you to win awesome prizes.

Today, I, along with two of my favorite characters, Gemini and Zain, from my new release, Kiss Me, Keep Me, will share with you our idea of the perfect date night. Remember, Zain is not from Earth. So, be patient with him. First up, yours truly.

sirenallenwallpaper

My idea of the perfect date is actually what’s going to take place this weekend. My husband has rented us a room at a nice hotel along the beach. I’ll get to read or write on the drive to the hotel. (I love long drives.)

It’s supposed to be warmish this week, so I may actually get a chance to walk along the beach. We’re going to watch a movie, and I get to pick the movie which means we’ll be watching Fifty Shades Darker.

We plan to have drinks and dinner at our favorite restaurant. I get to dress up. Yay. It seems like all I wear these days are scrubs for work and pajamas for bed. But hey, they’re usually Disney scrubs and I have cute minion and wonder-woman pajamas. But, it’s going to feel good to actually put on a dress and heels.

Our perfect date doesn’t end in one night. The next day, we’re going to the Casino to gamble. I’m cheap, so I’ll spend about twenty dollars before I decide to simply watch my hubby at the tables.

You’re probably wondering where the gifts come in. Well, my husband and I don’t exchange Valentine’s Day gifts. Strange? Not really. I travel for work and whenever he comes to visit me in the different cities that I’m in, he brings me ‘I miss you’ gifts.

Because of that, I have forbidden him from purchasing me anything for Valentine’s Day. That didn’t stop him from buying me this cute stuffed animal that I can carry with me when I travel. Is it sad that I get more excited over a three dollar toy than I do over a diamond necklace? LOL.

Now that you know what I consider the perfect date night, it’s time for Gemini and Zain to share with you their idea of the perfect date. Enjoy!

GEMINI: My idea of the perfect date is very detailed, so I’ll let Zain go first. What’s your idea of the perfect date honey?

ZAIN: June 1st.

GEMINI: Wait, no, I don’t think that’s what she meant.

ZAIN: But that is the perfect date.

GEMINI: What’s so special about that date?

ZAIN: It’s the day I first laid eyes on you.

GEMINI: Aww, how sweet. Thanks. But, I think we’re supposed to describe our idea of the perfect date night. You know, like that time we went out for ice cream.

ZAIN: Oh, I get it. Like the time I handcuffed you to the bed and…

GEMINI: Nope, not that. That’s private stuff. How about I describe my perfect date night instead?

ZAIN: Whatever you wish. But, I think mine is better.

GEMINI: Trust me, it is. However, it’s not something we share with others. Okay, my perfect date night would start with dinner and then a movie.

ZAIN: No fancy restaurants. They make me uncomfortable. Too many humans.

GEMINI: We’d go to a small diner.

ZAIN: And no big movie theater. Too many humans.

GEMINI: We’d rent a movie and watch it at home.

ZAIN: I’m enjoying this date already. When the movie is done we can get out the handcuffs, right?

GEMINI: No, after the movie, comes dessert.

ZAIN: Dessert, I love dessert. I can put the chocolate syrup on you again and lick…

GEMINI: We’d eat cupcakes.

ZAIN: I’d rather eat you…

GEMINI: AND THEN, we’d go to the bedroom…

ZAIN: That’s when we’ll get the handcuffs, right?

GEMINI: Yes, babe, that is when the handcuffs come out.

ZAIN: I would like to go on this date right now.

GEMINI: Let’s go.

The Perfect Date with Shasta Pyke from Lost & Bound by Pandora Spocks #BDSM #NewRelease

perfect-date-1

Valentine’s Day is almost here. All weekend I’ll be talking to some of your favorite characters, asking them to reveal their idea of the perfect date. Some of their answers may surprise you. First up, Shasta Pyke, from the new steamy romance by Pandora Spocks, Lost & Bound. (I’m currently reading this and loving it!)

Take it away Shasta.

lost-bound-cover-jpeg

The Perfect Date Night
By Shasta Pyke
Leading Lady of Lost & Bound

When someone asks me about the perfect date night, I have to laugh. Because six months ago, my answer would have been completely different.
Back in LA, my perfect date night would have involved dressing up in new designer club wear, and being picked up by a hot celebrity driving a high-powered luxury import. Paparazzi would follow us to the hottest restaurant of the moment, and we’d try to ignore them as we ate an expensive dinner.
After that we’d party all night at an exclusive club, then head back to my place, or his, for our own private after-party.
But now? After Blake? Well, I know it sounds funny, but I love just being with him. I mean, we can pack a basket, take the boat to the far side of the lake, and have a beautiful picnic under the stars. A nice dinner of fresh-caught lake trout, a glass of wine, a lantern for light. All we’d hear would be the wind in the trees, maybe a loon calling out on the lake somewhere.
And if we happen to head up to his play cabin afterwards? Yeah, that is the perfect date night.

Blurb:
Blake Walker is no stranger to tragedy. Immediately following a horrific event years earlier, he was lost for a while until he embraced his Dominant nature and found his true calling. But things change and now he’s back where he started, helping to run his family’s secluded lake lodge.
When pampered Hollywood starlet Shasta Pyke gets into trouble with the law, she’s sent to the wilderness of northern Ontario to cool her heels for a few weeks. There she meets sexy bush pilot Blake, who is tasked with seeing to her needs as the sole guest at the lodge.
Initially, Blake isn’t impressed with the spoiled actress, but he’s happy that her visit allows for his sister Jackie and her kids to go on a much-needed vacation. Try as he might, he can’t figure out what the hell Shasta Pyke is doing so far out of her element.
Shasta’s attracted to Blake’s obvious good looks, but there’s more to him than that. He sees through her armor to the vulnerable little girl she hides from the world. The Daddy Dominant in him craves to shelter her, to make her his own.
Is there any way Shasta will agree to submit to Blake’s Dominance?

excerpt

~Explicit Excerpt~

After painting the exteriors of the first two cabins, Blake and Shasta took a break. In the kitchen of the main house, he quickly made turkey sandwiches for their lunch. “How’s that plug feeling, kitten?” he asked as he sat across the table.
“It’s fine. I mean, I can feel it, but it doesn’t hurt.”
His grin was sly. “Does it feel good?”
She shifted uneasily in her chair. “I just know that my pussy is about to go up in flames if it doesn’t get some relief soon.”
Blake laughed. “We’ll see what we can do about that.” Rounding the table, he grasped her arm and led her to the kitchen counter, where he bent her over. A sharp tug dropped her shorts to the floor around her feet. He released his monster erection and impaled her roughly.
“Oh, shit, yes!” she panted.
After three strokes, he pulled out and restored his jeans, returning to the table to finish his lunch.
Shasta, still leaning over the counter, watched him incredulously. “Are you kidding me?!”
Blake smirked confidently and gave her a wink. “I’m telling you, kitten, by tonight you’ll be begging me to fuck your ass.”
Clean Excerpt
Blake expertly angled the small boat to rest beside the tiny dock and killed the motor, tying off his end before jumping out and tying the front end as well. Then he again offered his hand, helping Shasta climb out of the boat and onto the dock.
She stood taking in the view as he unloaded her things. The lodge was visible across the water, seemingly closer than it actually was, judging by the ten-minute ride. If she hadn’t been in such a foul mood, she would have found the place beautiful. The only sound she could hear was the wind in the tops of the countless pine trees covering the island. It would be a short climb up to the crest of the island where a log cabin sat. She could see a stone-surrounded fire pit flanked by a quartet of dark green wooden Adirondack chairs and further away, stretched between two large pines, was a white canvas hammock.
When all her things were on the dock, Blake turned to her. “Let me take you to the cabin. There are a few things I need to show you.”
He took off up the hill and Shasta teetered along behind him, carefully avoiding large rocks that were in the way. “Are you making it?” he called over his shoulder.
“I’ve got this, don’t worry about me,” she muttered.
Blake turned away and grinned to himself. He was waiting for her when she finally made it up the hill. “I hope you brought other shoes.”
Out of breath, Shasta put her hands on her hips and nodded.
He unlocked the door and held it open for her to enter the cabin. She stepped into an open room featuring a seating area in front of a fireplace immediately to her right. Further into the room, a kitchen was arranged in the back left quarter of the space with a cast iron stove on the back wall and a kitchen table pushed against the right wall down from the fireplace. Between the fireplace and the kitchen table was a small desk that held some sort of radio equipment. Shasta peered into an alcove to her left and saw that it was a tiny bedroom.
“Now,” Blake was saying, “the lights run on propane. You turn this little lever and you can light them with a lighter. The fridge and the cooktop also run on propane. Same thing, you turn the knob and then light it with the lighter. I already lit the pilot on the fridge and it should be fine.” He indicated a small metal box beneath the kitchen counter.
Wordlessly, Shasta followed him around the room, trying to take in all his instructions. “Now if you want to bake, or if you’re just cold, you can build a fire in the stove.” He showed her where to put the wood. “And there’s always the fireplace. Wood is stacked outside against the back of the cabin. I can always bring you more, too.”
He waved at the few kitchen cabinets. “We’ve stocked the cabinets and the refrigerator but if you need anything, just let me know.” He headed for the door. “Water comes from a spring near the front of the island.”
“Wait. What?”
“Water. You know, to drink?”
Desperately, Shasta searched the room, making a beeline to the sink. Instead of a faucet, there was a green-painted old-fashioned hand pump. She worked the handle a few times and a spurt of water came out. She looked back to him, bewildered.
“Well, you can’t drink that. Not without boiling it for about ten minutes. It comes straight out of the lake. Use it for dishes and things. You can drink the spring water right out of the ground.”
“Wait a second. Where’s the bathroom?”
“I was just going to show you. Follow me.”
Blake headed out the door and Shasta followed along behind him. He turned down the right side of the cabin, following a narrow trail through the trees. Shortly, the path opened onto a small clearing and to the right of the clearing was a tiny log structure. “Here’s your bathroom,” he pointed.
She began to shake her head. “Oh, no, no, no, no, no,” she murmured. “There must be some mistake. I don’t do outhouses. Does Eddie know about this?” she demanded.
“Who’s Eddie?” Blake returned, picturing the smarmy suit guy.
“No. Absolutely not. This is completely unacceptable. Besides,” she breathed deeply, trying to regain her composure, “where is the shower?”
“Well, some guests bathe in the lake.” He took in her incredulous expression and continued. “On the other hand, we do have a solar shower. I’ll show you.”
Shasta followed him down the other side of the cabin, to the place where the tiny bedroom jutting out from the main cabin made a little sheltered corner. A post was situated in the corner with a pulley rigged to the top.
“This is a solar shower.” Blake held up a large flat rectangular vinyl pouch that was clear on one side and black on the other. The clear side had a large round valve and there was a handle on one end. The other end had clear tubing attached and at the end of the tubing was a tiny shower head.
“You fill this up with water, seal the valve, and lay it out in the sun. The dock is a good place.” He watched as Shasta held her forehead with the palm of one hand, gaping at him in disbelief. “Anyway, when you’re ready for a shower, you hang it up here,” he indicated the pulley, “and just shower away. The spruce trees right here make for privacy, although you shouldn’t have any folks out on the lake, seeing as how you’ve rented out the whole place.”
Wordlessly, Shasta turned and hobbled back to the front of the cabin, sinking into one of the Adirondack chairs. Blake followed, hands in his pockets, uncertain whether or not to continue the tour. She glanced up at him, deciding to change tacks.
“Listen,” she smoothed, “we seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot.” She pasted on her dazzling Shasta Pyke smile. “Obviously, there’s been some kind of mistake.” Standing, she approached him, pushing her glasses back up onto her head and fixing him with soft brown eyes.
“Here’s the thing.” She reached out to stroke his arm, biting her lower lip provocatively. “I can’t stay here. And you don’t want me here, not really. The place is already paid for. Just,” she stepped closer, brushing her breasts against his arm, “maybe you could drive me someplace where I can get a cab or an Uber or something, and I’ll be out of your hair.” She wrinkled her nose and winked. “What do you say?”
A slow smile spread across Blake’s face. “What do I say?” He laughed lightly, shaking head. “I say, you’re a piece of work, lady.” With that, he turned. “I’ll leave you to it, then.”
“Wait!” she shouted after him. “You can’t just leave me here!”
He waved over his head and didn’t turn around.
“Come back here! You come back here right now!”
Wordlessly, he cast off from the dock and pushed the boat away from the shallow water.
“What about my bags? They need to be taken to the cabin!”
“And it will be dark soon. So you might want to get on that,” Blake chuckled.
Shasta was on the dock by now and she stomped her foot, fists balled at her sides. “Do you know who I am?” she screamed.
“You look to me like a little brat who needs her ass tanned,” he fired back.
She shrieked unintelligibly and threw a rock at the boat. She missed by a mile and the rock plonked harmlessly into the water.
Blake laughed again, started the engine, and headed back to the lodge.

Welcome To The Wonderful World Of #MechanicalMen Part 2. #SciFi #SFRB

welcome

Welcome to the wonderful world of mechanical men. Today, we’re sharing with you the moment, Debra, the genius behind the mechanical men, found out that her robots weren’t really robots. She was in the middle of…um… enjoying her robot when she learned this. There’s some naughtiness ahead. You’ve been warned. Enjoy!

bionic-arm

“You want me to go deeper?”

Again she nodded, unable to talk with her mouth full of cock. He pushed his fingers deeper into her while keeping his thumb pressed against her clit. Her eyes drifted shut as pleasure spread throughout her body, lighting her on fire and increasing her need for him.

His cock jerked against her tongue. He was enjoying this. She was still amazed that her robots were capable of achieving an orgasm. Chance often came as hard, sometimes harder, than she did. And what happened when he came was magnificent.

Both of them were on the verge of coming right now. She moved her hips faster and sucked him harder. A loud banging sound forced her to open her eyes and glare at her bedroom door. Who would dare disturb her at this time of night?

“Debra, open the door, it’s Aoki.”

Aoki… that’s who.

“Ignore her,” Chance released his cock and bunched his fingers into her hair. “I need this Debra, you need this.”

Damn straight she needed this. She’d been working so hard on getting these machines ready that she’d barely had time to enjoy Chance. She didn’t want to stop.

“Debra, wake up. I need to talk. It’s an emergency.”

Fuck.

Debra turned her head to the side, forcing Chance out of her mouth.

“I’m sorry sweetie, but you’ve got to untie me. Aoki sounds like she’s about to have a heart attack.”

Still breathing heavily, Chance made no move to untie her. Instead he stared down at her, wearing an expression she couldn’t decipher.

“Chance, untie me.”

Still nothing.

“Chance,” she spoke more forcefully.

He blinked then nodded. “Okay,” he sounded upset.

Should he be able to sound upset? She would have to ask Aoki about that.

“I’ll let you go. But when she leaves, I am going to fuck you so hard you will never consider letting anyone interrupt us again, understood?”

His words made her body tingle. He was a robot. How the hell was he able to say things like this? Aoki swore she never programmed him to say half of the things he was capable of saying. Her personal cyborg was full of surprises.

“Do you understand, Debra?”

“I understand, now untie me, Chance.”

He untied her then massaged her wrists while Aoki continued beating on the door.

“Chance, you have to get off me so I can go answer the door.”

He truly didn’t look like he wanted to move.

“Tonight was supposed to be for us,” he reminded her.

“It will be. I just have to see what Aoki wants. I promise I won’t be long.”

He nodded. “I will go and get your robe.”

“Thank you.”

Like Chance, she too was pissed at Aoki. If the lab wasn’t burning down there was no reason for her Lead Engineer to disturb her late at night. Unless… the lab really was burning down. Shit. Chance returned with her black robe. He slipped it over her shoulders.

“I’ll wait for you in the sauna,” he whispered in her ear.

“The sauna?”

“Yes, that’s where we left the paddle after the last time you allowed someone to interrupt us.”

Debra shivered. He was going to spank her. She shouldn’t be this excited over her impending punishment, but she was.

“Go answer the door,” he smacked her ass then left the room.

Damn, that artificial intelligence program Aoki invented was good. She should give her friend a raise. Not tonight. Tonight, she wanted Aoki to understand just how pissed she was. With a frown on her face, Debra walked over to her door and jerked it open. Aoki pushed past her and stormed into the room.

“Where’s Chance? I need to talk to you alone. This is really important and I don’t want him to overhear us.” She was talking so fast, Debra could barely keep up with her.

“Uh, hello to you too, Aoki.”

“Fuck hellos, Debra. I have something very important to tell you. Where is Chance?”

“He’s in the sauna.” Debra tightened her robe around her, suddenly extremely nervous. “Did the lab burn down?”

“What?” Aoki frowned. “No, the lab is fine. Why would you assume the lab burned down?”

“Because you’re banging on my door like you’re the police. If the lab is fine, what’s got you so riled up?”

“I need to make a confession,” Aoki began pacing.

“Okay, confess away.”

“What would you say if I told you the mechanical men we’ve created are more real than we previously believed?”

“I would say stop pacing, you’re making me dizzy.”

Aoki stopped and sighed. “I’m serious, Debra.”

“I don’t even understand what you’re talking about.”

“Listen to me. Do you remember my dad?”

“Yes, I remember Mr. Yamada. I helped you clean out his basement after he passed away. Your father was the first person to support us and our goals. How could I forget him?”

“Of course, I don’t know why I asked that. I’m so fucking nervous,” Aoki rubbed her hands through her long black hair. “What I meant to say was, do you remember the container full of microchips we found when we were cleaning out my father’s basement?”

“Yes, I think you said there was like five or six of them.”

“There were six.” Aoki gave her a pointed look.

“Um, okay, there were six. So what?”

“Six, don’t you get it?”

“No, I don’t get it. I would be ‘getting it’, if you hadn’t interrupted me with this nonsense.”

“Focus. There were six, Debra. There were six chips in that weird container my dad kept in his basement. During our first round of creating cyborgs, only six of them came out right. Actually they came out perfect, too perfect. The other four came out with the intelligence of a vacuum cleaner. We trashed the dysfunctional ones and used the first six as our prototype. The new cyborgs are simply clones of those first six.”

“Okay, and you’re telling me this because?”

“Because my dad wasn’t crazy.”

Debra rubbed her forehead. How did Aoki go from discussing cyborgs to discussing her deceased father’s mental stability?

“Aoki, I think you’ve been drinking and I …”

“I have not been drinking.”

“Well maybe you’ve been smoking.”

“I don’t smoke.”

“Well maybe you’re sleep walking and sleep talking because what you’re saying isn’t making sense.”

“Okay, okay, let me start from the beginning.”

“Please make it quick. I’ve got a hard cock waiting for me in the sauna.”

“Listen, the scientific lab my dad worked at fired him when he got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. A few months later he contacted them and tried to tell them of a crash that was reported close to the Mississippi river.”

“What kind of crash?”

“A UFO crash.”

“Really Aoki, a UFO?” Debra rolled her eyes.

“Wait, there’s more. He told them that the people in the bayou claimed they’d seen a UFO over the river. His ex-boss didn’t believe him.”

“I wouldn’t have believed him either. Those people were probably drunk off moonshine.”

“That was what I thought too. I told him to let it go. Well, according to his journals, he didn’t let it go. Remember when he took that trip to Louisiana without my knowledge or my approval?”

“Yeah, you were so mad at him for disappearing without telling his home health nurse where he was going that you threatened to put him in a nursing home.”

“Well, he went to Louisiana to visit the UFO site. When he arrived, there was a waste management team on the scene cleaning up. They told him there had been an oil spill. But he already knew something else had gone down there. Since he couldn’t get any info out of the men there, he met with the locals to see if they could tell him anything. They were all tight-lipped about what had happed.

But he found one lady who would talk to him. The lady showed him a box that she’d found at the site a few hours before the waste management team arrived. It was badly burnt and she couldn’t get it open. My dad paid her eight hundred dollars for that box. According to his journal, the six chips I found in his basement were what that burnt box contained.”

Aoki grew quiet. She looked like she wanted Debra to say something.

“Um, okay,” what more was she supposed to say? She was still confused.

“I used those six chips to make the first six mechanical men.”

“You did what?”

“I’m so sorry.”

“You did what?”

“Deb, I thought they were…”

“You used something that came from a possible UFO site to make my mechanical men?”

“When I did it I had no idea what those chips were. I knew my dad had been working on his own artificial intelligence program and I assumed that was what he had on those chips. I wanted to prove to the world that he was a great scientist. That’s why I used his chips. It wasn’t until last week that I started going through his journals and realized those chips weren’t created by him. Those chips may not even be of this world.”

“I need to sit down.” Debra felt like she was going to be sick.

“Don’t be mad at me.”

“I’m not mad at you. I’m mad at myself for not asking more questions about this new artificial intelligence program that I thought YOU created. Wait,” Debra sat down on her lounge chair. “I am mad at you. I did ask you questions about the damn AI program that I thought YOU created. You told me everything was fine. You told me that everything was up to code and approved by all the agencies whose approval we needed. You never told me my cyborgs are possibly aliens.”

“Only six of them. The six that have the chips from my dad’s basement.”

To celebrate the upcoming release of book two in my Mechanical Men series, I’ve decided to give you a quick tour of Hudson Enterprises, where the Mechanical Men were created. Remember, what you see here is top secret, especially since the original machines aren’t machines at all.

They’re artificial intelligence from another planet. We could lose our license if word of this got out. So, let’s keep this between us. Enjoy the tour.

Why spend your nights with a man, when you can spend them with a machine? Machines go harder, last longer, and don’t ask silly questions afterward like, did you come?’
-Hudson Innovations – Making your life better, one machine at a time.

Tiffanie Connerly is tired of men. They lie, they cheat and they break your heart. It’s time for Tiffanie to climb off her good girl pedestal and climb on top of a cyborg. She’s ready to give machines a try.

Machines don’t lie. They tell you what you want to hear.
Machines don’t cheat. Once you purchase them, they’re yours forever.
Machines don’t break your heart. They break your headboard…

Who needs a headboard anyway?

“We will start over,” he told her, still pacing back and forth in front of her.

Seated on the edge of the bed, Gem agreed. “Yes, I would like to start over.”

His head jerked her way. “Good,” he said before staring at the carpet as he paced.

She waited for him to say more. With his hands in his pockets, he seemed to be deep in thought. She didn’t want to interrupt him. She was just so excited.

“First,” he told her. “I will tell you a little bit about me.”

Gem nodded. She had no idea why. He wasn’t looking her way.

“Then you will tell me about yourself, understood?”

“Yes, sir.” She resisted the urge to salute.

Again, his brown gaze met hers.

“Good,” he told her before looking down at the carpet again. “After we talk about ourselves, we will discuss other things.”

“Like what?”

“Like… like our wants and desires.”

She desired him, right here, right now.

“You will tell me what you like and don’t like,” he told her. “Then I will tell you what I like and don’t like. Then you will tell me other things.”

“What kind of other things?”

“Things you’d only share with someone close to you. The closest human to you.”

“You mean the things I tell my best friends?”

“No. We will not be best friends,” he told her. “We’ll be more. You’ll tell me
the things you would tell a human who was more to you.”

“You mean, like a boyfriend?”

He stopped pacing and faced her. “No, not a boyfriend. You and I, Gemini, we will be so much more than that.”

Her whole body was tingling.

“Understood?” he asked.

Gem nodded. “Yes, sir.”

“Good. Are you ready?”

Her panties were already wet.
She was beyond ready.
