Happy Sunday! Welcome to another Scintillating Sunday. This week I’m sharing 8 more paragraphs from my paranormal romance, Christmas Fantasy, book 1 of the Fantasy Diary Series. Devin shoved his hands into his pockets to keep from breaking anything. He bet her new guy wasn’t a beast like him. Devin clenched his fists in his pockets. Hiring Alyssa Blakely was one of the worst mistakes he’d ever made. Being around her, smelling her sweet scent every day was driving him insane.

Knowing that another man was touching her and loving her in ways Devin never would, almost made the demon he kept caged inside of him emerge. He could feel his skin rippling. Devin took a deep, calming breath. Alyssa was off limits.

Even if she were single and interested in him, he still couldn’t have her. It was too risky. She made him feel things he wasn’t used to. He didn’t know if he could handle touching her without hurting her. Hurting Alyssa was something he would never do.

He would just have to endure her presence. He would take pleasure in the shy smiles she cast his way every now and again. He would enjoy the laughs they shared while working late some evenings. He would maintain the professional relationship they had, even though he yearned for a taste of her.

Devin turned and placed his back against the window. Shoulders sagging, he felt like the weight of the world was resting on his shoulders. But it wasn’t the world weighing him down, it was his own feelings – feelings that he was determined to keep bottled up.

He stared at the door that separated him from the woman he desired. A piece of metal and space was all that separated his body from hers. It would only take a couple of strides for him to reach the door. One pull on the door knob and he could send it flying across the room. Then he would be face to face with the one woman in this world that made him wish he wasn’t a beast with a conscience.

If he had no conscience, he would take her, now, against his desk, against her desk, against the wall, on every damn hard surface in this building. He would make sure she enjoyed it. He would make sure he pleased her so thoroughly she wouldn’t ever think of leaving him, even when she found out he was not the man he pretended to be.

Devin sighed, but that would never happen. Because though he was a beast, he did indeed have a conscience. That conscience kept her safe from him… for now.

Her Dom’s Journal Part 6

Previously… on her Dom’s Journal.
SAY WHAT! He was asking her was her guitar in her hands. OHHHH!

“Um,” she searched her brain for a lie, any lie, “I can’t hear you,” she said. “You’re breaking up.” She didn’t even know where her blasted guitar was.

“But I can hear you,” her Dom said, his voice was laced with suspicion.

“Let me call you back, I think we have a bad connection.”

“London, what are you up to? What are…”

She hung up before he could finish his sentence.

He didn’t even know she had his journal. Well damn.

HDJ-2

What to do?

Her phone was continuing to ring and each time it beeped afterwards, letting her know Michael was leaving her a voice mail. Maybe she should check the voice messages. He couldn’t be that upset with her.

He didn’t even know she had his journal.
However, he had to suspect something was up from the way she quickly hung up her phone when he asked her to play the guitar for him.

Think London, think.

Okay, she would check one of the four messages he’d left her. Her phone dinged again, this time he’d sent her a text message. She read it.

‘London, answer this damn phone.’

Even though it was only a text, she could hear his angry voice in her head speaking in that cool controlled tone of his. She’d rather have him yell than speak in that cool controlled tone of his. Nervous, she decided to text him back rather than check her voice mails or call.

‘Honey, my phone is acting crazy. I’ll call you…’

In the middle of her text, their land-line phone rang. She’d forgotten they even had one of those.

Well Damn.

Slowly, like an insolent child, she walked over to the phone and sat down on the edge of the bed. What was she so afraid of? It wasn’t like he could spank her through the phone.

“Hello.”

“Baby,” there was that deep voice she loved. “Are you mad with me? Is that why you’re acting like this.”

Guilt consumed her. He thought this was his fault. None of this was his fault.

“No, Michael. I’m not mad. I’ve just…”
She didn’t know what to say. Just what, been reading your secret journal. She couldn’t say that.

“If you don’t want to play, you don’t have to. I know you’re mad.”

“I’m not mad really.”

“I can tell when you’re mad London. You found out, didn’t you? You found out I didn’t bring Daniel with me, didn’t you.

“What?” No, she had no idea Daniel wasn’t in Hawaii with him. “Oh, uh, yeah, that’s what happened.”

“I’m sorry for lying, sweetie. I only told you that to keep you from insisting on coming with me. I knew if I said he was coming you wouldn’t want to go.”

Damn straight.

“Well, I’m surprised your boy toy let you go without him.”

“He’s not my boy toy, London. How many times do I have to tell you that?”

“Well, why is he always around. He’s always at your office all times of the night and day.”

“London…”

“Michael, if you’re screwing him, that’s fine. You had him before you met me…”

“London…”

“But I don’t like all of these lies.” She was lying about things also, but her lies were tiny white lies.

“London, listen…”

“If you’re screwing him be about a man about it and confess.”

“Fuck, London shut up.”

“Excuse me.” He just told her to shut up.

“No, I will not excuse you. You always fly off the handle. You don’t even know what’s going on.”

“Well if you told me maybe I would know, Michael.”

“Know this, Daniel is in danger. I’m sending him there to spend the week with you.”

“What? No.”

“Along with security detail.”

“Look, I am not about to baby sit your lover.”

“I don’t know what makes you think he’s my lover. How many times do I have to tell you, I’m not gay!”

“Well you keep an openly gay guy around and he’s always so smug…”

“He acts like that because it bothers you. London. Daniel is not my lover. He was Anton’s sub.”

“Your best friend, the one who died last year?”

“Yes, the one who was murdered. I swore to Anton I would protect Daniel. I intend to keep that promise.”

The doorbell rings.
Speak of the devil and he will appear.

“The doorbell is ringing.”

“That’s probably him. Be nice to him and keep him inside.”

“I’m not his baby sitter.”

“For a few days you are.”

“Shit, Michael.”

“That’s five licks.”

“What? Oh.” He didn’t like cursing.

“I really have to go now, London. Be good and take care of Daniel, okay.”

London sighed.

“Say, yes, Sir Michael.”

She didn’t want to and she damn sure didn’t want to take care of a grown ass man.

“London, say it.”

“Ugh. Yes, Sir Michael.”

“Thank you baby, I promise to make it up to you when I get home. And I’m going to ignore that ugh part this time around.”

“Yes Sir, thank you Sir, you’re so gracious,” she said sarcastically. “He’s banging on the door now, I have to go.”

“Bye sweetie.”

“Bye Sir.” Sarcasm was going to get her more licks. Right now, she didn’t care.

London hung up and quickly dressed. The banging on the door got louder.

“I’m coming,” she shouted as she walked down stairs. She opened the door and there he stood, the man she’d thought was Michael’s Latin lover.

“Move bitch,” he pushed her to the side and strutted into her house.

Behind him, the security detail shrugged and gave her this, ‘Sorry but I’m glad he’s yours now,’ look.

“Please don’t leave him with me,” London whispered.

The head security guy, Dave, smiled. “We’ll be parked out front if you need us. Hit star and the number two on your line-land then hang up and we’ll come. Okay.”

“Okay.”

Wait, she’d been so pissed about having him here, she hadn’t bothered to find out what kind of danger he was in.

“Hey, what has he done? Why is he in danger?”

Dave shook his head. “That’s classified.”

Bull shit.

They walked off. She would just have to ask Michael about this. London shut the door and turned around. Behind her, a naked Daniel stood with a champagne glass in one hand and a bottle of her favorite champagne in the other.

“Let’s get drunk, Red.” He said.

Why me.

London picked up her cell phone and called Michael. He answered on the second ring.

“Is something wrong?”

“Michael.”

“Yes love.”

“You owe me an hour of oral once you get home.”

He laughed. “Baby, I’ll go down on you for as long as you want.”

“Mike,” she felt like stomping her foot. “He doesn’t have on any clothes and he’s drinking my favorite champagne,” London complained.

“Yeah, he hates clothes and he loves to drink. Give him a robe or something. Be nice, okay.

“Okay.”

“Bye sweetie.”

“Bye.” London tossed her phone onto the couch.

“I want oral,” Daniel said as he took another sip of his champagne. “Hey, let’s go to The Fetish Garden. I promise I won’t tell Michael. I’m sure I can find someone there to give you oral.”

Ugh, London groaned. Her plans to read her Dom’s journal all night long had strode out the door the moment Daniel walked in. Forget one hour, make that two hours of oral sex Michael owed her.

“Come on Danny, let me find you a robe.”

~Return in two weeks for the next entry in Her Dom’s Journal. Will London find time to read with Danny around? Or will he keep her up all night, telling her some of Michael’s darkest secrets? Find out, in two weeks.~

#ScintillatingSunday Fall in lust with Christmas Fantasy

7141383_orig

Happy Sunday! Welcome to Scintillating Sunday. What is Scintillating Sunday? It’s a weekly blog hop where romance authors share eight paragraphs or 8 sentences from one of their books. This week I’m sharing 8 paragraphs from my paranormal romance, Christmas Fantasy, book 1 of the Fantasy Diary Series.

She sat down and stared into her plate, refusing to look anywhere else. She needed to wrap her mind around what was happening. Devin Jordan had just licked her down there. Wow! Not once since she’d been working for him had she thought he would ever behave like this… with her.

She was thankful when Devin got up with his plate. She hoped he would empty it then head into the living room to start on the Christmas tree. She was surprised when he sat down in the chair right next to her, and continued eating his breakfast. Alyssa was too nervous to eat. She picked over her food with her fork.

“Is me sitting by you a problem?” He asked between bites.

“Of course not, why would it be?”

“You’re not eating. Would you like for me to feed you?”

“Um, I’m not very hungry.” Alyssa bit into a piece of bacon and forced herself to swallow.

“You taste better than this food does.”

Alyssa coughed, nearly choking on the bacon she’d forced herself to eat. Devin patted her on the back. How embarrassing. “Open your mouth,” Devin said.

What Others Are Saying

It’s so full of twists and turns, and OMG moments that you will once again be drawn into stalking, plotting, and the emotional roller coaster we know as Matt. ~ Goodreads Review

Her stories have so many twists, turns, and bumps they literally leave your head spinning and your heart wondering how or why it could feel anything for these sinister and hateful characters!! Oh did I mention my jaw being open plenty of times too!! If you do not take the time to read Viveca’s foreward in her books, go back and do so. Her thoughts are absolutely fascinating. That mind of hers is definitely twisted. Goodreads Review

he action is fast paced and the characters well developed. Once again Ms. Benoir has delved deeply into Matt’s twisted mind to share his story and she is not done yet. ~ Goodreads Review

This book is long but again, the writing is fabulous. I must admit the first book was quite shocking with the horrifying acts it held within, but this book was less shocking and I really enjoyed it. ~ Goodreads Review
