Welcome to another Scintillating Sunday. I’ll be sharing a little of my paranormal romance, Christmas Fantasy with you today. I LOVED writing Christmas Fantasy. Both of the main characters are so complex and so different than their siblings who are the main characters in book two: Dark Fantasies. Currently, I’m working on book three of the series: Wicked Fantasies.

“Alyssa, I need you.” He spoke around her finger, not releasing it, his tongue teasing her flesh. She needed him also. She ached so badly for his touch, but she was afraid still. Afraid of what he was, afraid of what he could do to her without even trying. He opened his eyes, gaze dark. “I can be gentle, Alyssa. Let me show you.” He pressed a light kiss to her fingertip.

“Devin, it’s too soon and…”

“I promise I won’t hurt you, sweetie. Let me show you.”

“I want to, believe me, but I’m…” Scared, was she really? No, she was just nervous. There was a difference. She knew Devin wouldn’t hurt her, but his beast was different, would he be able to keep what lived inside of him on a leash? “I just wish there was a way I could watch you change without you touching me.” He frowned. Damn it.
Her words hurt him, it showed on his face. The darkness began to fade out of his eyes. “No.” Alyssa leaned closer to him. She hadn’t meant to hurt his feelings. “I just want to see you fully changed before we proceed,” she told him.

“I can’t change unless provoked, by anger, hunger or sex.”
The mentioning of sex brought the blackness she craved back into his eyes. But there was no way she was just going to hop back into bed with him without seeing him fully changed. She needed to see exactly what she was dealing with. Then, and only then, would she be able to give herself fully to him. She had an idea. She still had the handcuffs she’d planned to use in her car. She could use them on Devin, and as he changed, she could watch from a safe distance. Alyssa smiled, she was brilliant.

“I have an idea,” she began.

“Get the handcuffs,” he said, not letting her finish.

“How did you know I was thinking of cuffs, Devin?” Alyssa swatted his shoulder.

“Alyssa, get the cuffs.”

“What happened to not reading my mind unless it’s absolutely necessary?”

“Where are your keys? I’ll get the handcuffs.”

It’s that time of year again. Alyssa Blakely is busy writing in her fantasy diary, filling it with all her forbidden, sexual fantasies. The star: her very sexy boss, Devin Jordan. Too bad for her, he’s never given her a second glance.

Welcome to this week’s Scintillating Sunday. Today I’m sharing more of my paranormal romance, Dark Fantasies. The title sums up the book. It’s dark and full of erotic fantasies. How can you not fall in love with a vampire, that’s part demon and has an inner beast with its own thoughts an opinions? Enjoy this excerpt from Kelan’s point of view.

When her legs began to shake he knew this was it, the moment he would taste her orgasm. She screamed his name and the first drops of her nectar touched his tongue. He lapped it up. Groaning, he felt his chest begin to expand. His beast pushed at him, wanting to be released. Kelan pushed back. This first time was all for him. They had an eternity to share her. This moment belonged to him alone. He didn’t raise his head from her until her cries died down and her body ceased trembling. Kelan stared up at her. Sated, she was even more beautiful. She gifted him with a weak smile.

“That was,” she shook her head, grinning. “That was unbelievable.”

“You’re unbelievable.”

“No, no, I didn’t do anything. You’re the unbelievable one. Damn, Kelan, where have you been all my life?”

“I’ve been looking for you,” he confessed. “All my life I’ve been searching for something to make me feel whole. I thought if I became a doctor and saved lives, the empty hole inside of me would close. It didn’t, it only got bigger. But with you, I feel complete.”
Damn, what made him share that with her?
Ashley’s smile disappeared. He’d scared her away. He could tell from the vacant look in her eyes.

“I know what you mean,” she whispered.

Maybe he hadn’t scared her away. “You do?”

She nodded. “Work is important to me. It’s all I do and I put a lot of time and energy into my job. A lot of people don’t appreciate the energy I put into it and sometimes I get so overwhelmed and frustrated that I feel like giving up. Tonight was one of those nights where I just wanted to throw the towel in and say I quit. Who needs a job they’re not happy with? Then I opened my eyes and there you were.”

Welcome to my stop on the Scintillating Sunday blog hop! It’s nice seeing you again this week. Today I’m sharing eight paragraphs from my paranormal romance, Dark Fantasies: Book 2 of The Fantasy Diary Series.

“I can’t wait for you to bite me,” she whispered before raising herself up and moving down his body.

“I won’t hurt you, I swear,” he moaned. She sure hoped he didn’t hurt her. Ashley didn’t stop until she was face to face with his cock. She wrapped her hand around it, gripping it tightly. He pulsed in her palm. He was hard as steel yet as soft as velvet. It was a wonderful contradiction. She trailed her finger nails up his thigh while using her other hand to pull up and push down on his length. She relished the way his hips moved up and down.

She was ready to know what he tasted like. Ashley leaned her head forward, but he stopped her, gripping her hair and keeping her from wrapping her lips around him. It was right there in front of her, so close yet he was preventing her from making this fantasy come true.

“Wait Ashley, I have one more question.”

“No more questions,” she told him. He may be holding her head and keeping her from sucking him into her mouth but her tongue could still reach him. She stuck out her tongue and licked the tip of his cock. Both man and beast groaned. The sound made her feel bold.
“Release me,” she told him. “Let me taste you.”

“I will, but first I have to ask you this. Are you mine now? Does this mean you belong to me? Will you stop trying to leave me?”

I will not cry, she told herself. I will not shed one tear. What I’m doing is not wrong. But if it was right, why was she feeling so guilty and even though she was guilt-ridden, why was she still willing to lie to him? Probably because she was no better than he was.

“I won’t try to leave you again,” she made a promise she had no intention of keeping.

Dear Diary,

I haven’t written to you in a long while. I’ve been so busy with, well, life. But now I have something juicy to share and I’m not allowed to tell anyone else. Of course Alyssa knows, but she’s going through a few changes right now so my new protector won’t let me see her. My protector is who I’m writing to you about today.

You see, I’ve been kidnapped. No, don’t panic, it’s not anything to get upset about. At first I thought it was. When he first took me I was pissed. But I’m slowly learning that this beast who calls himself my mate is simply a big softy, who wouldn’t harm me no matter how many times I tell him to f**k off, and I do tell him that a lot.

Anyway, we’re kind of hiding from these angel assassins right now so I figure, why not take advantage of this situation and use it to do some research for my erotic romance column. I already have the title for the column picked out: ‘How To Seduce A Vampire.’ My readers are going to love it.

Of course, my protector isn’t talking to me right now, the big baby is mad at me for breaking his brand new television. In my defense, I did tell him I was going to tear sh*t up if he didn’t release me. He actually tied me up, can you believe that?
Oh, well, I guess in order to get what I want I’ll just have to walk around the house naked.

I’m sure he’ll pounce. He’s a predator and I’m going to pretend to be the prey. Once we get rid of all these pesky assassins, I am going back to my regular life. Mr. Big Bad Vampicus – that’s what I call a mix between a vampire and an incubus by the way. Anyway, Mr. Big Bad Vampicus is just going to have to find himself another mate. An independent girl like me and a domineering beast like him would never work out.

Happy Sunday! Welcome to another Scintillating Sunday. This week I’m sharing 8 more paragraphs from my paranormal romance, Christmas Fantasy, book 1 of the Fantasy Diary Series. Book 2 is Available now and book 3 is coming in 2016. Take a moment to fall in love with Devin Jordan, a beast with a conscience.

Devin shoved his hands into his pockets to keep from breaking anything. He bet her new guy wasn’t a beast like him. Devin clenched his fists in his pockets. Hiring Alyssa Blakely was one of the worst mistakes he’d ever made. Being around her, smelling her sweet scent every day was driving him insane.

Knowing that another man was touching her and loving her in ways Devin never would, almost made the demon he kept caged inside of him emerge. He could feel his skin rippling. Devin took a deep, calming breath. Alyssa was off limits.

Even if she were single and interested in him, he still couldn’t have her. It was too risky. She made him feel things he wasn’t used to. He didn’t know if he could handle touching her without hurting her. Hurting Alyssa was something he would never do.

He would just have to endure her presence. He would take pleasure in the shy smiles she cast his way every now and again. He would enjoy the laughs they shared while working late some evenings. He would maintain the professional relationship they had, even though he yearned for a taste of her.

Devin turned and placed his back against the window. Shoulders sagging, he felt like the weight of the world was resting on his shoulders. But it wasn’t the world weighing him down, it was his own feelings – feelings that he was determined to keep bottled up.

He stared at the door that separated him from the woman he desired. A piece of metal and space was all that separated his body from hers. It would only take a couple of strides for him to reach the door. One pull on the door knob and he could send it flying across the room. Then he would be face to face with the one woman in this world that made him wish he wasn’t a beast with a conscience.

If he had no conscience, he would take her, now, against his desk, against her desk, against the wall, on every damn hard surface in this building. He would make sure she enjoyed it. He would make sure he pleased her so thoroughly she wouldn’t ever think of leaving him, even when she found out he was not the man he pretended to be.

Devin sighed, but that would never happen. Because though he was a beast, he did indeed have a conscience. That conscience kept her safe from him… for now.

Happy Sunday! Welcome to Scintillating Sunday. What is Scintillating Sunday? It’s a weekly blog hop where romance authors share eight paragraphs or 8 sentences from one of their books. This week I’m sharing 8 paragraphs from my paranormal romance, Christmas Fantasy, book 1 of the Fantasy Diary Series.

She sat down and stared into her plate, refusing to look anywhere else. She needed to wrap her mind around what was happening. Devin Jordan had just licked her down there. Wow! Not once since she’d been working for him had she thought he would ever behave like this… with her.

She was thankful when Devin got up with his plate. She hoped he would empty it then head into the living room to start on the Christmas tree. She was surprised when he sat down in the chair right next to her, and continued eating his breakfast. Alyssa was too nervous to eat. She picked over her food with her fork.

“Is me sitting by you a problem?” He asked between bites.

“Of course not, why would it be?”

“You’re not eating. Would you like for me to feed you?”

“Um, I’m not very hungry.” Alyssa bit into a piece of bacon and forced herself to swallow.

“You taste better than this food does.”

Alyssa coughed, nearly choking on the bacon she’d forced herself to eat. Devin patted her on the back. How embarrassing. “Open your mouth,” Devin said.

Tinsley looked away. Hmm, she was definitely hiding something. Why was everyone trying to keep things from her?
“Since the friend you were on the phone with wasn’t my sister, who was it?”
“No one important.”
“Okay, who was it?”
“Just a friend, geez?”
“Does this friend have a penis?”
“Really Ashley, why can’t you just ask if my friend is a guy?”
“Because not all guys have penises.”
“Uh, yes they do. You’re the sexpert, you should know that.”
“And as a sexpert I would like to let you know that not all guys have penises. Some guys have dicks.”
“Ashley,” Tinsley shook her head. “I know I’m going to regret asking you this but, what’s the difference?”
“I’m glad you asked. Pass me my glass and I’ll tell you.”
Tinsley crawled back over to the nightstand. “I don’t think I want to hear this.” She mumbled as she grabbed a glass and handed it to Ashley.
“Thanks, okay, are you ready for a Sex Ed crash course?”
Tinsley lay back against a pillow. “We should be writing articles, but I guess we can take a short break for you to explain this nonsense to me.”
“It’s not nonsense.” Ashley took a sip of her drink. “This is the truth. I know the dictionary tells us that a dick is just the slang word for a penis. But once you’ve experience a dick, you will never want to go back to a penis, I promise.”
“Ashley, please quit saying the D word.”
“But that’s what it’s called.”
“I know but it sounds so gritty.”
‘What would you rather I call it?”
“Let’s call it,” Tinsley thought for a second. “Let’s call it a hammer.”
“I LOVE IT. From now on that is what I am going to call it in my column. Yay, what would I do without you Tinsley?”
“Probably go crazy and succumb to your dark side.”
“Yeah, I probably would. Anyway, once you’ve had a hammer you will never return to a penis. Penises are okay, if you’re into making love and all that. But making love is for the birds.”
“I think making love is sweet.” Tinsley said.
“Yeah when you’re married and have a house full of kids. We’re young, we don’t need penises, we need hammers. If he can’t bang me out then we can’t hang out.”
“Maybe we shouldn’t use the word hammer. That puts painful images into my mind.”
“There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of pain when you’re fucking.”
“Ashley!”
“Okay, okay. I won’t say that word either. Listen, all men have penises. They’re born with them. But some men grow up and their penises grow also.”
“That’s what’s supposed to happen.”
“True, but some men grow more than others.”
Like the hair-sniffer guy. That dude was definitely packing. Damn it, why didn’t she just touch it before she sprayed him? Focus Ashley.
“Anyway, some men’s penises grow into hammers. Those are the kind of men we want in our lives. We want the hammers.”
“And what makes a hammer so special?”
“Because it’s a hammer, that’s why. Duh. Hammers go deep and touch all of those hard to reach places.”
Tinsley burst out laughing.
“It’s not funny. I’m serious.”

Allow me to introduce you to one of my favorite characters. Meet Ashley, from Dark Fantasies.

Ashley Blakely: Confident and sassy with a habit of saying exactly what’s on her mind. Doesn’t believe in marriage and loathes any man who tries to tell her what to do. She lives by her own rules and doesn’t believe in luck. She believes if you want something, you have to work hard to get it.

Well, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. She finds that plus more in Kelan Grant. Unfortunately he’s a demon/vampire, and she doesn’t have time for the whole neck biting mess. That is so not romantic to her.

Dear Diary,

I haven’t written to you in a long while. I’ve been so busy with, well, life. But now I have something juicy to share and I’m not allowed to tell anyone else. Of course Alyssa knows, but she’s going through a few changes right now so my new protector won’t let me see her. My protector is who I’m writing to you about today.

You see, I’ve been kidnapped. No, don’t panic, it’s not anything to get upset about. At first I thought it was. When he first took me I was pissed. But I’m slowly learning that this beast who calls himself my mate is simply a big softy, who wouldn’t harm me no matter how many times I tell him to f**k off, and I do tell him that a lot.

Anyway, we’re kind of hiding from these angel assassins right now so I figure, why not take advantage of this situation and use it to do some research for my erotic romance column. I already have the title for the column picked out: ‘How To Seduce A Vampire.’ My readers are going to love it.

Of course, my protector isn’t talking to me right now, the big baby is mad at me for breaking his brand new television. In my defense, I did tell him I was going to tear sh*t up if he didn’t release me. He actually tied me up, can you believe that?
Oh, well, I guess in order to get what I want I’ll just have to walk around the house naked.

I’m sure he’ll pounce. He’s a predator and I’m going to pretend to be the prey. Once we get rid of all these pesky assassins, I am going back to my regular life. Mr. Big Bad Vampicus – that’s what I call a mix between a vampire and an incubus by the way. Anyway, Mr. Big Bad Vampicus is just going to have to find himself another mate. An independent girl like me and a domineering beast like him would never work out.

Devin took a deep, calming breath. Alyssa was off limits. Even if she were single and interested in him, he still couldn’t have her. It was too risky. She made him feel things he wasn’t used to. He didn’t know if he could handle touching her without hurting her.

Hurting Alyssa was something he would never do. He would just have to endure her presence. He would take pleasure in the shy smiles she cast his way every now and again. He would enjoy the laughs they shared while working late some evenings. He would maintain the professional relationship they had, even though he yearned for a taste of her.

Devin turned and placed his back against the window. He stared at the door that separated him from the woman he desired. A piece of metal and space was all that separated his body from hers. It would only take a couple of strides for him to reach the door.

One pull on the door knob and he could send it flying across the room. Then he would be face to face with the one woman in this world that made him wish he wasn’t a beast with a conscience. If he had no conscience, he would take her, now, against his desk, against her desk, against the wall, on every damn hard surface in this building.

He would make sure she enjoyed it. He would make sure he pleased her so thoroughly that she wouldn’t even think of leaving him, even when she found out that he was not the man he pretended to be. Devin sighed, but that would never happen. Because though he was a beast, he did indeed have a conscience

Girl Talk Saturday is back for the month of October and the topic is: What Do Your Characters Fear?

This Saturday, my characters, Alyssa and Devin from Christmas Fantasy will be sharing some of their fears with us.

Alyssa:

1. Having to one day move back in with my parents because I couldn’t handle living on my own. (I hope that never happens.)
2. Not having my Christmas fantasy fulfilled again this year.
3. Falling in love and not falling in love. The idea of both frightens me.
4. Losing my job. I need the money plus my boss is a hottie. Did I mention he’s the star of all my fantasies?
5. Losing a loved one. That is a crippling fear I have. My sisters, my best friend, my parents and now… Devin, mean the world to me. If I were to lose any of them, I don’t know what I would do.

Devin:

1. Losing my grandmother. Mortals die. That’s nothing new. But I have the power to prevent that, and she won’t let me. Stubborn woman.
2. Not finding more of my kind. I know there are more beings like me out there. I just don’t know where they are.
3. Finding more of my kind. I’m learning more about this supernatural world I’m a part of. And the more I learn, the more I realize… I’m in deep shit.
4. Not being able to protect Alyssa from danger. Beings are after me and they know harming her is the one way to harm me. I can’t allow that.
5. Spending eternity alone. Alyssa is mine and nothing will change that. But I can’t force this lifestyle on her. She has to make a choice and she has to make it soon.

~There you have it. We all have things we fear. But we should never let our fear control us. Happy October.~
