Her Dom’s Journal Part 5

c7074279f76038cda66da731688263d9

***continued…***

Seconds later she felt his hand on her dress sliding it up her legs then her thighs. Michael spread her legs open and inhaled deeply. London wondered if he could see how wet she was through the sheer black fabric of her panties. Next she felt him tugging at her panties. London lifted her hips slightly and he proceeded to slide her panties down her legs.

Her hips jerked when she felt his warm breath at her center.
He spread her legs further apart. She wanted to look but he’d told her not to. It took every ounce of will power she had for her not to lift her head from the couch and stare down at him, on his knees, between her legs. The first swipe of his tongue against her sensitive flesh…

***

Her cell phone vibrated next to her, distracting her from the erotic thoughts floating through her mind. London reached over and picked the phone up and stared at the name appearing on the tiny screen. It was him, her Dom. She smiled as she pictured him with the phone to his ear, frowning because she wasn’t answering his calls.

She already knew what he wanted. He was going to tell her to put his journal away, but she wasn’t going to do that. There was no way she was going to miss the opportunity of a lifetime. There was no way she was going to let this chance slip between her fingertips.

With him away on his business trip and his journal in her possession, there was nothing he could do to stop her from reading his most private thoughts.

London didn’t think of it as an invasion of privacy, it was more like a chance to finally understand how the man she loved thought. Her learning these things would only make their relationship stronger.

Who was she kidding?

She was reading it because he was clumsy enough to forget it and she was nosy enough to look through it – consequences be damn.

London sat her phone down and finished reading through his journal. She flipped through the pages trying to find the ‘Good Stuff’. She wanted to know what he thought of her lately not what he thought of her when they first met. She flipped to a page that read, ‘She will never be a good submissive,’ and frowned.

She didn’t know if she wanted to read any further. Was that what he thought of her, that she would never be a good submissive?

Well, she wasn’t a good submissive. He’d known that the moment he met her. Though she tried her best, well not her best but she did try. She knew she would never be like the other subs he’d had in the past.

London laid her head back against her pillow and closed her eyes. She knew she should put his journal away and at least pretend she was a good sub by not reading it. But she couldn’t, the rebel in her wouldn’t let her put it away.

Her phone vibrated again, and again it was him. She didn’t want to answer but she had been avoiding his calls all day. She knew he was probably pissed with her. London picked up her phone and accepted the call.

“Hello,” she said trying to sound innocent. How did one feign innocence over the phone?

“Do you have it in your hands?”

She missed his deep voice. She knew exactly what he was talking about but decided to tease him.

“Yes,” she said seductively. “I have your whip in my hands. I’m running my hands up and down the length of it wishing it was you instead.”

Her Dom chuckled, a good sign, maybe he wasn’t as pissed as she thought he would be.

“I miss you, love,” he whispered and those four simple words made her feel like the biggest loser. Here she was reading his personal journal that he’d asked her numerous times not to touch. She was ignoring his phone calls and after all of that he still loved her.

“I miss you also,” she whispered as she mentally chastised herself. “Yes it’s in my hands,” she confessed to him.

He laughed, “I figured as much. Play me a song. I love listening to you play.”

SAY WHAT! He was asking her was her guitar in her hands. OHHHH!

“Um,” she searched her brain for a lie, any lie, “I can’t hear you,” she said. “You’re breaking up.” She didn’t even know where her blasted guitar was.

“But I can hear you,” her Dom said, his voice was laced with suspicion.

“Let me call you back, I think we have a bad connection.”

“London, what are you up to? What are…”

She hung up before he could finish his sentence.

He didn’t even know she had his journal. Well damn.

Self-Editing: Carving Into Your Masterpiece

Carving Into Your Masterpiece

by Layla Chase©

At holiday meals, have you ever noticed the fuss about who gets the honor of carving the turkey or goose? Expertise is involved and most usually profess not wanting to be in charge of the meal’s centerpiece. Don’t we all suspect the carver secretly enjoys the attention and resulting accolades? We as writers are the masters or mistresses of our creative masterpieces-our manuscripts. So, let’s all grab a sharp knife and dig in.

Let’s work on word editing and rearranging sentences to elicit the maximum effect.

Gerunds-cut to the real meat of the sentence when describing a character’s movements

EX: Running into the house, she dialed John’s number on her cell phone. (Ouch-shouldn’t she dial 911. My first impression was the character literally hitting the outside wall.)

EX: Opening the door, he flipped on the light and drew his gun. (Almost sounds like the character has 3 hands, which is okay if this is science fiction and he’s an alien.)

Cause & effect-Slice into the middle of the sentence to retrieve the event that initiates a reaction.

EX: The sound increased when James swung open the door to his house.(effect before cause)

EX: When James opened the front door, the sound of the lawnmower intensified.(cause then effect)

Power words-save those luscious words for the end where they give the most flavor

EX: The night was noisy, then Caleb felt the danger all around him. (telling and vague)

EX: The croaking frogs and whirring cicadas quieted, the hairs on his arms prickled, then Caleb sensed danger. (specific details and ends with power word)

EX: The mangled corpse was covered with blood from head to toe.(passive)

EX: Every square inch of the mangled corpse dripped with blood. (pumped verb, power word at end)

EX: Blood dripped from every square inch of the mangled corpse. (another power word)

Overuse of adverbs-think of them as a spice that should be sprinkled, not shaken. Use of words ending in -ly often indicates a weak verb needs to be boosted.

EX: Maddie walked smartly across the room.

EX: Maddie strode across the room.

EX: Mr. Jensen talked softly to his wife about the movie.

EX: Mr. Jensen whispered to his wife about the movie.

With the inclusion of these tips in your self-editing process, you’ll have your manuscript lean and mean in no time. Happy carving!

Feedback from Friends!

In past posts I’ve told you all how shy I am about sharing my writings with my friends. Well I am slowly coming out of that shell. Last week I sent a copy of my story that received a request from a publisher via twitter to a friend for her to read it and give me her opinion on it.

I received her thoughts on the story this morning. This is what my friend/co-worker Alanna emailed me….

“Girl what can I say ???!!!??? I loved it… I couldn’t put it down!!! It all flowed really well… There is some misspelled words and a few others things.. But GIRL you can write!!! If you want me to read anything else send it my way.. ”

Alanna

She went on to point out the misspelled words and run on sentences she found in the story. But overall, she enjoyed it. That makes me happy because my goal as a writer is to create stories that make my readers smile. I want my story to stay on their mind long after they put the book or their kindle down.

I love to read and my favorite books are the ones that have me up all night, tired as can be but unable to stop reading until I finish the whole book.

As far as the grammatical errors – things like misspelled words and run on sentences can definitely turn a reader off and make your wonderful story seem subpar. I’m thankful to my beta’s Shawn and Alanna for catching mistakes in my story that I missed. Time for me to correct those mistakes and get this story sent in to the publisher!

But…..

Since I am so excited about the feedback I received from a friend, I have decided to share a excerpt from that story with you guys….

WARNING – IT IS STEAMY – ENJOY!

“Tell me baby,” he said again into her ear. “Tell me you won’t leave me.”

He shoved deeper into her and at that moment, at that particular time, she was willing to tell him anything that he wanted to hear.

“I promise,” she gasped as he rocked her again. She felt him removing her blind fold as he shoved in and out of her. Eyes free she stared up at him. He continued to ride her and she continued to love it. They continued to gaze at one another, his expression one of wonderment. She felt like crying from the intense emotions he was sending through her. Preston put his hand around her throat gripping her tightly but not in a painful way.

“I can’t lose you,” he said, “not again. I need you.” His eyes spoke volumes but did she dare believe it could be true?

Just when she thought he couldn’t go any deeper he did, her body shook uncontrollably as an orgasm like she’d never experienced ripped through her.

That excerpt is very tame compared to the rest of the story! 🙂

Have a great day,
xoxo Siren

Her Dom’s Journal Part 4

7cd4478929b7e89ce397450d56f7f9ba

“Being inside this woman is like being in my own personal erotic heaven. She’s so responsive, so wet and warm. My taste buds will never get enough of her flavor. I could feast on her wetness forever.”

London clutched her thighs together tightly. Damn it, she missed her Dom. She closed his journal and lay back against her pillows. She smiled as she replayed in her mind all the events that happened during their first weekend together. She could remember it like it was yesterday…

The moon had already risen to its position in the sky by the time they arrived at his condo. The trip there had been a silent one. She was normally outspoken but around him she was quiet and shy.

Everything about him exuded confidence… Dominance. Even the swag in his walk made her long to strip him out of those expensive suits he wore and take advantage of him. But she was supposed to be the sub and that meant she had to behave demurely.

London did not have a demure bone in her body. How was she ever going to play the role of a submissive successfully? Even though Michael looked good enough to eat, she still wouldn’t let herself become his sub… well not permanently. She was only agreeing to a weekend with him because the rules at The Fetish Garden required her to do so – all because she’d chosen the wrong mask her first night at the members only Sex Club.

In her defense, she was only trying to make a fashion statement. She liked to look good and be fashionably late to all events. But being late to an invitation only party and choosing a mask that complimented her dress rather than her intentions had gotten her in more trouble than it was worth.

London followed closely behind him as they approached his condo. The beauty of his beach home took her breath away. He unlocked the front door and she stepped into every girl’s fairy tale dream house encased in glass. There were windows everywhere, most offering a gorgeous view of the ocean.

The floor was made of a light colored wood. The walls were white and so were most of the couches that decorated the living area. London did not wait for him to tell her to explore his home she did so of her own volition. She was a lover of all things beautiful and his home was the most beautiful thing she’d seen. London sat down on the white couch located in the center of the room.

The cushion felt soft against her skin. London pressed her back against the couch and leaned her head back to stare up at the ceiling. To her amazement she could see the stars. The ceiling in the living room was also made of glass. She sighed as she watched the heavens. The sound of his voice brought her back to reality.

“Don’t move,” he whispered from the other side of the room, his voice dark, deeper than before. London was in the process of sitting up when he uttered those words, heart picking up speed she sat back and continued to stare up at the night sky. She wanted to turn her head in his direction to see what he was doing but she was too nervous to do so.

“No matter what I do to you,” he said, his voice coming from directly in front of her. She had not heard him cross the room. “No matter how good it feels London, I want you to keep your back pressed against the couch and your eyes staring up at the stars. Do you understand?”

Too excited to speak, London nodded her head yes. He sounded serious. Part of her was scared, the other part of her was fascinated.

“I need to hear you say it London. Do you understand?”

“Yes,” she whispered. She was already growing wet and he hadn’t even touched her yet.

“That’s yes sir, London.”

What the hell? Yes sir? Oh right, she was the sub – he was the Dom. Sort of like me Tarzan you Jane.

“Yes sir,” London said with a little more attitude than she intended.

Michael chuckled. “Don’t worry my dear,” he whispered. London could feel him kneeling in front of her. “Soon you will understand the ways of a sub and you will love it.”

Seconds later she felt his hands on her dress sliding it up her legs then her thighs.

Corporate Bedroom by Author Michelle Outlaw!

corporatebed

Happy Saturday!

I have been waiting all week for Author Michelle Outlaw’s book to be released and finally the day is here! (So Excited)

Author Michelle Outlaw has stopped by to talk to us about her steamy new book that I can’t wait to read. (I just purchased it)

Every one welcome Author Michelle Outlaw to the blog today by clapping real loud.

Siren: Welcome Michelle and thanks for allowing me to interview you. I want to start this off by asking you to tell the world the name of your new release:

Michelle: Corporate Bedroom I – Genre Erotica. Release date March 30th on Amazon.

Siren: Where can we find you on the web?

Michelle: I’m on Facebook Author Michelle Outlaw – https://www.facebook.com/michelle.outlaw.90
I am horrible; I am currently working on the web page.

Siren: Don’t feel bad. I’m sure that when the site is finally up it’s going to be worth the wait. Michelle tell us a little bit about yourself.

Michelle – I am a hedonistic voyeur. I love watching people enjoy themselves. I enjoyed my twenties which is where a lot of my characters and stories come from. I love beautiful things, and I do not mean superficially. Sexy goes a lot further than fine! I want people to be lost in my stories, and experience the characters as if they were right there with them.

One interesting fact about me is that I always love the villains of my stories, if there is a villain in the story there is more of me in that character. A fact that will probably confuse people about me is that I absolutely think that kissing is totally disgusting, but I find lips fascinating. Most of my profile pictures will have lips, but kissing freaks me out. I even have a difficult time when my characters kiss. So that is a little peek into my strange quirk.

Siren: I’m glad I am not the only one that thinks kissing is a little weird. Just the thought of swapping spit disgusts me. Then again I am a hypocrite because I seem to do just fine with other body fluids…okay I’m getting off track here, sorry.
Please continue Michelle, lol. (Just joking about the other body fluids comment; sorta kinda!)

Michelle: 🙂 My goal is to tell a good story, I want people to discuss the characters with friends because they are just that interesting. The first two e-books are short erotic stories; however, my novels will be erotic thrillers. I always want to keep my reader guessing, and engaged in the story and with the characters. I want the reader to be taken through emotional changes with the characters, and to hold their breath until the book ends. I want you to experience the book to the point that you have an emotional reaction when it is over.

Siren: How old were you when you realized that writing was what you wanted to do with your life?

Michelle: I have been writing since I was in the 7th grade. I won writing contests while in high school, and I won scholarships for college! My college professors would tear my writing apart now.

Siren: Who has inspired you the most along your journey as a writer?

Michelle: My inspiration comes from my mom, hubby, and some book addicts at work. The book addicts are the ones that will tell me if something sucks or if I have entertained them well enough to be given their seal of approval. Believe me these women (Eve, Ashanti, and Twanda) can be brutal!

Siren: LOL, but it’s good to have a group of friends who will give you their honest opinion. Thanks Eve, Ashanti and Twanda for being honest with Michelle.

How did you come up with the idea of your current book?

Michelle: I know how much work can stress people out. People spend most of their lives at their jobs, when you spend so much of your time in one place; you develop relationships with those you see on a daily basis. I wanted to create short stories about characters that were successful, but needed that outlet from their progression in their career.

Maybe it will make employees look at their boss’s and co-workers in a different light because when we are nude, we can be vulnerable. (In some cases…) These characters all have facades in public and in the boardroom. The reader will find out in the corporate bedroom, there is no façade only bare skin. These are short stories, which gives each character a voice and a space of their own. I suggest a quiet place and a person with um “talents” nearby because each story will take you to a pleasurable garden where you will be an invited voyeur.

Siren: You hear that readers? You have officially been invited to be a voyeur in the Corporate Bedroom! How did you come up with the title, Corporate Bedroom?

Michelle: That is interesting – my publisher had me change the title. Originally I called it Freakernizing, a play off fraternizing. We discussed it and decided to go with Corporate Bedroom. The people in these short stories are all professionals, who need a release, and a walk down the road less traveled.

Siren: What advice would you give to others who are interested in/or currently working towards becoming a published author.

Michelle: Write and/or be creative every day. Invest in a digital recorder; sometimes the muse will visit you at the weirdest times. Keep that recorder with you, in case you can’t get to your computer. Seek mentors; I want to be clear about mentors. For me a mentor would be someone who wants to help you develop your voice. Keep in mind not everyone is going to love your work, but don’t let those who do not have the communication or people skills to give you constructive criticism in a respectful way discourage you.. Keep writing!

Siren: I love that answer! I learned the hard way that not everyone is there to help. Some people enjoy tearing others down.

What books/authors have influenced your writing?

Michelle: Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty series I love all her books, but that series is one of my favorite. I have recently become a big fan of Kenya Wright’s; love her erotic paranormal series. Madame Bovary was a book that has stayed with me for years. A woman viewed as a harlot, but I found her to be awesome. I love books with strong women, women who are not afraid to explore their sexuality while at the same time attempting to follow rules always draws me in.

Siren: Do you ever experience writer’s block?

Michelle: Yes, I have had my muse leave me, but the crazy thing is that if I watch something on Investigation Discovery she returns to me. Looney I know.

Siren: That’s hilarious. Do you write an outline before every book you write?

Michelle: Great question and the answer to that is no. I cannot write outlines for my stories. I saw on someone’s page they had handwritten their novel, and that absolutely blew me away. Everything I do, I do at the computer. I just sit down and begin writing. An outline just stifles my creativity; due to the fact that I just let the characters become who they are from my head to the screen. When I am writing I feel like the goddess who watches the mortals, I let things play out without interfering too much. (Yes I love mythology, and no I do not have a god complex) As writers we create worlds, and literally can rule over them. LOL

Siren: I totally understand. I think in another life you and I were sisters because I feel the same way about a lot of the things we’re talking about. LOL; outlining works for some authors but I have to just let my characters do their own thing. They don’t like it when I meddle too much in their affairs!

What is your favorite time of the day to write and your favorite place to write?

Michelle: I am definitely a night person. I work during the day, very long hours, but I have to write every day and it has to be after 10pm.

Siren: One last question before you leave Michelle, you know I have to ask a question about Fashion; who is your favorite Fashion Designer and why?

Michelle: Oh wow favorite designer, hmm. That is hard. Monif C. Bein Roule at the moment. Donna of course if they can design for size sexy and height, I am almost 6ft.

Thanks so much for coming through Michelle. I have enjoyed chatting with you and can’t wait to read your book. Today is the day Readers, Corporate Bedroom is now available on Amazon. I have to read it; I have been waiting all week for this release. I wish you much success Author Michelle Outlaw and thanks again. Corporate Bedroom 2 will be released in April.

You can find book one at: http://www.amazon.com/Corporate-Bedroom-ebook/dp/B00C3KCVRA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1364651878&sr=8-3&keywords=corporate+bedroom

Her Dom’s Journal – Part 3

inspiring words from a pic

Her Dom’s Journal Part Three

London traced her finger over the dried ink, savoring her Dom’s written words.

‘She will be mine and she will love it.’

How did he know?

The weekend they went away together she hadn’t known she would fall in love with her tall, dark and handsome Dom. She hadn’t expected to move into his condo with him a few months later. The only thing she expected from that weekend was a good time. But she’d gotten more, so much more.

London turned the page, eager to see what else her Dom had written in his journal about her.

‘I love her.’

London smiled and blushed. She had no idea why she was blushing. She already knew he loved her but reading those words, written by his hand, sent tingles all over her body.

‘I’ve only spent one night with this woman and I already know I want to spend my life with her. She’s wonderful – from the top of her flaming red hair to the bottom of her pedicured feet. I love every inch of her. But she still hasn’t agreed to let me collar her.’

London frowned, what was it with Dom’s and their need to collar a girl?

If they wanted to collar something they needed to buy a puppy. She would never allow herself to be collared.

‘She doesn’t understand this lifestyle – doesn’t appreciate it yet. But she will and soon. I can tell that I excite her from the look in her eyes. She’s never allowed a man to handcuff her to a bed before, but she has agreed to allow me to do that to her tonight. I’m honored by this. It shows that she’s coming to trust me. She’s slowly allowing herself to experiment more with this lifestyle. I have to admit that I am proud that she has never been with another Dom. I am going to enjoy teaching her the ways of this world. The only problem is that she speaks as if this is going to be our first and last weekend together. She thinks she has a choice in the matter of staying or going, she thinks she can decide to leave me once this weekend is over.

I won’t let her.

If its jewels she wants, money, or clothes – I will buy her anything she desires. I will use everything at my disposal to keep this woman happy, to keep her with me. In time she will learn to love me the way that I love her.’

London’s cell phone began to ring beside her as she turned to the next page in the Journal. The music coming from the phone let her know her Dom was calling. She decided to be a bad girl and let it go to voice mail.

He’d probably just realized he left his journal behind. She was going to be in so much trouble when he returned home from his trip in a week. But it was going to be so worth it. She would’ve never known that he fell in love with her their first weekend together if she had not read his journal.

Though she never admitted it to him or anyone else – that was also the weekend she fell in love with him. He’d shown her so many new and exciting things during their first weekend together, how could a girl not fall in love with a man who could lick her into oblivion in T minus 10 seconds?

London stared at the first sentence on the next page of his journal.

‘Being inside this woman is like being in my own personal erotic heaven. She’s so responsive, so wet and warm. My taste buds will never get enough of her flavor. I could feast on her wetness forever.”

London clutched her thighs together tightly. Damn it, she missed her Dom.

Book Cover Monday!

Book Cover Monday – No Second Chances by Beverley Hollowed

Cover1

I know they say to never judge a book by it’s cover but as readers we do it all the time.

This cover makes me want to beg the author to release it now instead of April 29, 2013 so I can find out why the heroine on the cover has her legs lifted in the air with fishnet thigh high’s on. Fishnet stockings plus legs in the air can only mean one thing…. 🙂
(you know what it means!)

Visit Beverley’s Author page to read a synopsis of the book. I already have and from the synopsis I can tell this is going to be a great read.

This book has officially been judged by it’s cover and I can’t wait to read it!
